Experienced Foundry / Casting Engineer opportunity for a professional who has an interest in moving beyond the daily Foundry environment into a Technical Expert / Field Engineer role, providing customer-facing support to foundry/casting facilities.

Responsibilities:
+ Partner with this company’s Account Managers to provide technical expertise for customers
+ Assess and recommend suppliers’ optimal manufacturing processes from prototype to production
+ Function as the Metallurgical technical expert supporting casting houses (suppliers)
+ Troubleshoot part quality issues, work with foundry and machining facilities to achieve desired results
+ This is a people facing role, providing you the opportunity to effectively communicate solutions to all audiences – technical and non-technical

Experience:
+ >10 years working in a foundry / casting environment as a process engineer, quality engineer, or operations
+ Sand Casting, Investment Casting, No Bake Casting

Education:
+ BS Metallurgy / Metalcasting / Materials Science Engineering

Salary Range:  $80,000-140,000

Location:
Roanoke, VA – Ranked in Top 25 Hiking Cities in the US, East Coast Mountain Biking Capital
